THIS AUCTION IS CLOSED, please see current month for bidding opportunities.

Thank you to the winner, with a bid of $1500 going to support the Nepal Children’s Foundation!

This painting is called “Dance with the flowers”.

She measures 48” x 36”.

About this piece:

Giselle Denis met Julie in college and quickly connected. They ended up being pregnant at the same time, which means they had the joy of playdates and raising their son’s together. Julie was one of Giselle’s best friends. When asked why she selected this piece to represent her dear friend in this auction, she replied,

The reason I chose this piece is because shortly after Julie passed away, my mom sent me this message:

“I wanted to tell you I had such an amazing picture of Julie that kept coming to me today. Hard to describe but she looked much like she did when I first met her at the College with her beautiful long hair. She was absolutely glowing, her lovely face was a picture of pure joy. She was wearing a white gown that was covered with sparkling diamonds that shimmered reflecting the light that surrounded her & she was dancing & twirling with joy in the midst of her homecoming celebration...”

I had a dream that night of Julie dancing in a fields of flowers. Free from pain & very much alive! As I was walking around the studio deciding which piece to donate, I was reading all of the titles of the paintings. As soon as I came across this one I said, “Yes that one! That is the one!”
