Julie Rohr Park Fundraiser
Julie Rohr Park is located in Laurier Heights at 140 Street and 78 Avenue, in the Laurier Heights neighbourhood that Julie loved so dearly.
To quote the community league,
“The Julie Rohr Park will be a testament to the lasting legacy of a woman who selflessly devoted herself to the betterment of the Laurier Heights community and beyond… a new fundraising campaign aimed at transforming the park space into an even more welcoming and vibrant place for all. Inspired by Julie’s commitment to community engagement and her passion for creating spaces where children and families could thrive, the campaign aims to enhance the park’s facilities and amenities. Through collective efforts, the community aspires to create a space that reflects Julie’s spirit of inclusivity, love, and togetherness.”
Funds will go towards city-approved signage, landscaping, and other investments into making the park a space that fosters community.
The Real Talk Julie Rohr Scholarship Fund
Awarded annually, the scholarship provides a one-time contribution of $5,000 to a post-secondary student in Canada who lost a parent to cancer. Virtual Fundraising Drive
In Julie’s final wishes, she hoped that people would direct their generosity to these three charities. In lieu of sending flowers please consider donating to one of these deserving causes.

This fundraiser will be ongoing until what would have been her 40th birthday in June, with monthly tallies posted on social media. Thank you for your participation and for honoring Julie through supporting these places that meant so much to her.
UPDATE: Over $25,000 was raised for Julie’s fantastic charities! While the official drive is now closed, any one seeking to support these causes can of course continue any giving and fundraising efforts in Julie’s honor.
Please note, the Knight’s Cabin has halted donations as their programming has been greatly effected by the pandemic. In it’s stead, we are encouraging donations to be sent to the Roozen Family Hospice.
