Julie Rohr was an Edmonton, Alberta writer, photographer, creator, politically savvy twitterer, and an advocate for anyone who is struggling. In 2015, Julie received a diagnosis of Leiomyosarcoma, an incurable cancer. She had a median survival rate of one year from diagnosis. Despite the prognosis, Julie managed to fight off this monster for 6 years engaging in multiple surgeries, chemo, radiation, clinical trials, focusing on health and nutrition, spiritual practices such as prayer, faith, meditation, and mostly by surrounding herself with the joy of life.

Even when her body was weakest, she would still be found trying to find what she could do for others. She poured her energy into creating meaningful community in her neighbourhood, held the spirits up of those who were dying through her volunteer work, punched above her weight politically to give a voice to those who needed one, and invested her heart into every person that was in her life.

This site is a capsule for her husband, children, family, friends, and anyone who needs inspiration to live a life of faith and love.

It is a small way to remember and honour a giant soul.
