April: Angela Tycholaz

Custom watercolour painting of your home, similar to the works shown here

10x14” watercolour and ink original TBD, framed

About this piece:

In the days before Julie’s passing, Angela gifted Julie a watercolor painting of their family home. For this month’s auction, Angela is offering the winner a custom piece of their own home.

When asked about her inspiration, Angela says,

“Seeing how special this was for Julie was my inspiration to auction a custom home portrait.

Julie created a beautiful home full of love and memories for her family and that’s what her house meant to her. It was an open gathering space for community, a full library for connection and learning, and a sacred space for healing.

I want to capture through art what my clients home means to them while also supporting Julie’s cause and memory of her.”

You can watch a video of Julie opening the portrait of her home here, fair warning - you may want to have tissue nearby.

Auction specifics:

Julie had a passion for art, and in particular, supporting local artists. As part of our virtual fundraiser for Julie’s charities, we are proud to host a virtual art auction featuring some of Julie’s favorite artists! These are artists whose works are proudly displayed in Julie’s own home, they are artists who were near and dear to Julie’s heart.

One piece will be featured per active month, with bidding open until noon on the last day of the respective month. Each month will raise funds for one of Julie’s chosen charities. Funds from the winning bidder will be paid directly to the charity, the art piece will then be released to the winner once payment is confirmed. Per Canadian law, this payment is not eligible for a tax receipt as the winner is receiving good(s) in exchange. 100% of the winning bid goes directly to the charity featured each month, no money will be handled by us or any other third party. Payment method will be arranged directly with winner.

Bidding is placed by simply commenting on this post.
